According to the Minecraft wiki, lava is one of the brightest light sources and it’s also relatively easy to obtain and use efficiently. This tower can be used to mark our home location for when we go exploring. Between the first and second image you can see I’ve added supporting parts, kind of like buttresses, […]
You can see here that we use the floors and walls to maximize efficiency in terms of our layouts. Chests, workbenches, and furnaces can fit in the floor and furnaces also fit in the walls, nicely stacked. The pirate lady you see in the center of the shot is my sister.
What you see here is a pig burning to death. It’s a useful trick to hunt pigs with a flint and steel instead of another kind of weapon. Setting pigs on fire will make them drop cooked pork when they die instead of raw pork. This saves you a trip to the furnaces! P.S. Happy […]
Minecraft does a great job of randomly generating terrain and this is a nice example of such a case. I’m sure that with a couple of custom texture packs and shaders this kind of view would be very picturesque. One thing that comes to mind that I think would greatly increase the look would be […]
This time it is I who was able to creep up on the creeper. In the default texture pack they aren’t very creepy at all- actually a little bit cute if they could turn that frown upside down. At this moment the only thing I could do is take out my bow and arrow to […]
Since I’ve had such good results from the straight down mine shaft in my single player survival world I’ve decided to use the same strategy in the multi-player world that I’ve been playing with my sister. You can see her down there mining away at the stone while we take turns climbing up to the […]
What you see here is the area in the front of the house that my sister and I have built in our multi-player survival world. The cobblestone part is the roof of our house and where you see the floating trees with torches on their trunks that’s the field that the front door opens up […]
This is the second house my sister and I made in our multi-player survival game. The first house is a 3 by 3 wooden shack on the beach not far from this one. This house was built on a natural formation of rock we had straightened out a bit and put a roof on. Inside […]
This is my little house in the middle of a pond where I’ve got two little tamed wolves. Currently this place only has one floor but the roof is also accessible via the ladder for looking around and checking what mobs have been spawning around. In the furnaces which you can see are lit up […]
This is what the view looks like in one direction from my home in my single player survival game. I’ve placed a bunch of torches to keep bad mobs from spawning too close to my house. Near the center of the image you should be able to see a little 1 block wide patch of […]
