At last it is time in our multi-player world where we create a portal to the nether. I’ve placed it a short distance away from the rest of our structures so we have the opportunity to build a building around it.
Captain Sparrow is putting in the outlines of his pirate ship. It’s not a very fast process because all of the wood is harvested by hand in this multi-player world.
In these three screenshots you can see the progress of the crafting of the support pillars for the beacon tower. The point is to give the tower a more mystical look by leaning more towards improbable build styles. The support pillars on the side are supposed to help support the top section which is placed […]
This is the creeper face dug out of the landscape. The black color is achieved by filling in the bottom layer with black wool. A casual observer will not notice anything out of the ordinary but from the top of taller buildings you will easily notice this little Easter egg.
This is a view from the top of the beacon tower down onto Pig Field with the greenhouse and home base on the right. Slightly toward us from the center you can see a creeper face in the landscape. It’s simply black wool dug one block deep into the dirt. From ground level you won’t […]
I’m standing at the very top of the newly constructed beacon tower. You can see the lava encased in glass to function as the light source. We are looking down on the main base attached to the greenhouse with the glass roof and farming inside. The surrounding hills and fields have been lit up with […]
This screenshot is taken from the first level of a beacon tower that’s under construction. It gives you a nice view of the home base with the fountain out front and the greenhouse attached to the back. The field on the left is called “Pig Field” and off to the right you can see a […]

Usually it’s done in a willy-nilly fashion but now we keep a lot of it inside the floor and partly inside the walls to conserve space. This […]
This is a great shot of my lava-tipped beacon tower. The moon is slowly rising behind it creating a little bit of a silhouette. In the foreground you can see my sister on the left and the sugar cane farming on the right.
It’s a funny sight to see a flock of blue sheep wandering about. This actually ties in with a trick that I would like to share. If you are trying to collect a bunch of colored wool, you should dye the sheep before you shear it to get the maximum amount of colored wool per […]
