This screenshot is taken from the top of the beacon tower looking out over Pig Field with all the torches lighting it up at night. In the center you can see the creeper face with some torches in his eyes for effect. The portal to the nether is located to the left and on the […]
Standing on a temporary platform this gives you a nice view of the constructions that Darryl and I have put up in our multi-player world. The pier extends out into the water with an under-construction pirate ship on the end. The beacon tower extends as high as the game allows you to build. In the […]
This is a view from the top of the beacon tower down onto Pig Field with the greenhouse and home base on the right. Slightly toward us from the center you can see a creeper face in the landscape. It’s simply black wool dug one block deep into the dirt. From ground level you won’t […]
I’m standing at the very top of the newly constructed beacon tower. You can see the lava encased in glass to function as the light source. We are looking down on the main base attached to the greenhouse with the glass roof and farming inside. The surrounding hills and fields have been lit up with […]
This screenshot is taken from the first level of a beacon tower that’s under construction. It gives you a nice view of the home base with the fountain out front and the greenhouse attached to the back. The field on the left is called “Pig Field” and off to the right you can see a […]
With sufficient farming it’s quite a breeze to craft a cake every once in a while. If you look through the windows on the left you can look into the greenhouse which has two levels of farming operations going on.
We’re in the first floor of the greenhouse where wheat is grown. You can see up through the glass blocks in the ceiling to the second floor. Water that irrigates the farming on the second floor covers these glass panels for a nice little effect. If we had fish (without special mods) we’d be doing […]
The final glass panels are placed to form the arches roof of the greenhouse. It’s a two level building with wheat growing on the first level and about half of the second level dedicated to farming sugar cane. Both floors connect to the house from which the second screenshot is taken.
I’m standing on the roof of the greenhouse looking onto the second floor of farming operations. Not all the glass has been put in yet; the sand is still in the oven. You can see we’ve got 6 sets of sugar canes growing, with the rest of the available plots available for whatever we need […]
