In later versions of Minecraft they’ve significantly altered the way in which animals spawn in parts of the world. Now it’s important to breed animals if you want to have an unlimited supply without traveling too far. Here in this barn we always make sure to keep a minimum of two of the kinds of […]
Most of the work in the final stages was put into making the legs and arches which are purely for making it look good- but looking good it does! At the top there are 3 levels of dark rooms pushing mobs towards the center where there is an “anus” which poops out the mobs and […]
This view shows the hill on the left in which our main base is located. From the top you can take the wooden stairs to the top of the mob spawner dark rooms. Near the bottom of this screenshot, from left to right you can see our cactus farm, reed farms and our colored wool […]

This is my little house in the pre-release of Minecraft 1.8. It’s recommended to start a new world because terrain generation is done with new algorithms. You can’t really tell from this image, but lighting has also gone a complete overhaul- it looks very good now. You can also see vine type things hanging from […]
This is a view from the outside of my base. You can see the wall surrounding my home with a lip of glass blocks to keep spiders out. The gap in the middle of the wall is where I will build a gate house where I can store some “away gear”.
