Most of the work in the final stages was put into making the legs and arches which are purely for making it look good- but looking good it does! At the top there are 3 levels of dark rooms pushing mobs towards the center where there is an “anus” which poops out the mobs and […]
We’ve seen the flag before but this time a stupid zombie has decided to hang out on top of it. To the bottom left you can see our wool colors collection which (spoiler) has burned down since, and the mob spawner on the far left with the arches under construction.
Giant mushrooms are a pretty cool addition to Minecraft. It’s an alternative to traditional farming and they really help to mark the landscape. Besides a rumored secret mushroom biome, they are not naturally occurring. To grow a giant mushroom of either type you just need to bonemeal a small one.
Instead of sections of the landscape turning to darker lighting modes, the colors change gradually in this leaked release of Minecraft version 1.8. When the sun rises and sets the colors change and provide for greater atmospheric impacts.

This screenshot is taken from the first level of a beacon tower that’s under construction. It gives you a nice view of the home base with the fountain out front and the greenhouse attached to the back. The field on the left is called “Pig Field” and off to the right you can see a […]
This is a mine cart station idea that I had. It’s located in my town and should transport the player across a lake. The idea is for one cart to be waiting at each end of the tracks. You can get into one side and push the button to set yourself off and when you […]
The final glass panels are placed to form the arches roof of the greenhouse. It’s a two level building with wheat growing on the first level and about half of the second level dedicated to farming sugar cane. Both floors connect to the house from which the second screenshot is taken.
You can see a tiny man in the water. That’s Darryl swimming as fast as he can back to the safety of the house as night is setting in. He’s just been out collecting a bunch of sand which we can turn into glass so we can continue the construction of our greenhouse.
