According to the Minecraft wiki, lava is one of the brightest light sources and it’s also relatively easy to obtain and use efficiently. This tower can be used to mark our home location for when we go exploring. Between the first and second image you can see I’ve added supporting parts, kind of like buttresses, […]
You can see here that we use the floors and walls to maximize efficiency in terms of our layouts. Chests, workbenches, and furnaces can fit in the floor and furnaces also fit in the walls, nicely stacked. The pirate lady you see in the center of the shot is my sister.
What you see here is a pig burning to death. It’s a useful trick to hunt pigs with a flint and steel instead of another kind of weapon. Setting pigs on fire will make them drop cooked pork when they die instead of raw pork. This saves you a trip to the furnaces! P.S. Happy […]
Since I’ve had such good results from the straight down mine shaft in my single player survival world I’ve decided to use the same strategy in the multi-player world that I’ve been playing with my sister. You can see her down there mining away at the stone while we take turns climbing up to the […]
What you see here is the area in the front of the house that my sister and I have built in our multi-player survival world. The cobblestone part is the roof of our house and where you see the floating trees with torches on their trunks that’s the field that the front door opens up […]
This is the second house my sister and I made in our multi-player survival game. The first house is a 3 by 3 wooden shack on the beach not far from this one. This house was built on a natural formation of rock we had straightened out a bit and put a roof on. Inside […]
This view is from the near edge of the pier constructed in a multiplayer world with Darryl. The main base and our other buildings are off to the left. This what you see in the middle is my cactus farm which has a self-harvesting mechanism in place. Do a quick search on Youtube if you […]
Jack Sparrow stands on his newly created pier. At the far end of the pier he will construct his pirate ship which will be quite an ambitious build for this world where all the materials are harvested honestly by hand (shovel, axe, pickaxe).
With sufficient farming it’s quite a breeze to craft a cake every once in a while. If you look through the windows on the left you can look into the greenhouse which has two levels of farming operations going on.
This view over the lake looks onto the pier or dock created by Darryl. At the end of it he will start building his pirate ship. Off to the right is our main base. All materials for these building projects are obtained by hand.
