While digging around underground it’s nice to come across a concentration of resources. Seen here we have diamond (light blue), redstone (red) and Lapiz (dark blue). Lapiz isn’t really useful beyond making a bunch of sheep blue, and redstone is more common than I need now, but diamond will put a smile on my face!
This is a test of sequential piston action. If you want two sticky pistons on top of each other to work properly you need to have the top one retract before the bottom one or else it will not be pulled down. This mechanism starts or stops a flow of water. In truth the system […]
From this angle you can see more of the fortress at the base of my tower. At the moment there are two “layers” of walls that wrap around the front side of the fortress. There is no real interior at the moment aside from the passage that leads to the base of the tower and […]
The tower is as tall as it can be. It reaches the very top of the world where it limits you from building any higher. It’s base integrates with a fortress type structure which started out as a test for a hidden door with pistons. Can you see the hidden door? No, because it’s hidden […]
This is a birds-eye view of a piece of mine cart track. It ends on the right side where it enters some wooden structures. To the left it enters a tunnel in the mountain and passes through all the way to the other side where in similar wooden structures attached to the cliff-face. Unfortunately I […]
Here you can overlook the valley area next to my spawn point. We’re standing on a floating glass platform connected by sky bridges made of planks similar to the one you see connecting from the right to the hill in the middle of the image. From that hill (which is home to my first note […]
The sun rises behind my home tower. It has a sturdy base made of cobblestone and the upper levels made of planks have sky bridges that branch out to other floating platforms. In the bottom left corner you can see a little piece of powered mine cart track which actually isn’t much longer than what […]
This is a view of my long connecting Minecart lines in a world where I have my crazy stuff going on. This is nearing one end where I headed for some cool looking hills. I built this track using single player server commands to give me items that I needed and allowing me to fly […]
