Creeper on the Roof!

Posted by Admin on 19 October, 2011

This creeper is not going to let Darryl get out there safely. While he distracts the creeper, a third member of our team is sneaking around the outside to surprise that creeper. Sadly this creeper is not the first one to bother us here and far from the last!

Menacing Structure for the Nether Gate

Posted by Admin on 12 September, 2011

The portal to the nether shouldn’t just be placed randomly. Here is an example of a (failed) attempt to make some kind of menacing or awe inspiring structure to house the nether gate. It’s out in the middle of the water and it was supposed to be looking a little like a shrine or something. […]

Colorful interior decorating with wool

Posted by Admin on 2 September, 2011

Land overview with farms, portal, trap and house

Posted by Admin on 31 August, 2011

A sheep tries to enter the nether

Posted by Admin on 25 August, 2011

Here’s the nether gate constructed out of 10 blocks of obsidian. If you look through the purple event horizon you can see a sheep who has walked back and forth through the event horizon a couple of times already. Obviously he’s trying to get to the nether where he’ll be able to collect some netherrack […]

View from the end of the pier

Posted by Admin on 24 August, 2011

Standing on a temporary platform this gives you a nice view of the constructions that Darryl and I have put up in our multi-player world. The pier extends out into the water with an under-construction pirate ship on the end. The beacon tower extends as high as the game allows you to build. In the […]

Two-stage surface mob trap

Posted by Admin on 24 August, 2011

Here is a drowning trap for mobs built on a mountain side. It’s a simple concept where a flow of water leads creepers, skeletons and zombies into a drowning trap which lets loot flow out of the bottom after they die. The difference is there are 2 of these traps in sequence for a large […]
