Instead of sections of the landscape turning to darker lighting modes, the colors change gradually in this leaked release of Minecraft version 1.8. When the sun rises and sets the colors change and provide for greater atmospheric impacts.
Not only are there beautiful mountainous terrains, you’ll also find rolling rills and fields that stretch out in the leaked release of Minecraft version 1.8.
Along side grandiose mountains, cliffs and ravines you’ll also find rivers snaking their way through the Minecraft landscape. At the moment, rivers do not actually flow, but they are a very pleasing feature in terms of appearance and they help making the landscape more realistic.
In the leaked release of Minecraft version 1.8 the land generation algorithms have been overhauled and now if you go exploring you’ll generally find more epicness in the world around you. One example of these new landscape features are ravines. They are long, deep trenches, like deep cuts in the landscape. Be careful when running […]
If you’re going about your world at night in the leaked prerelease of Minecraft version 1.8 you’ll certainly come across some Endermen. Instead you will be treated with a gradual change in lightness and slight hue changes as you get some […]
Putting down torches in caves in the prerelease version of Minecraft 1.8 gives off a more yellow glow than regular sunlight does. Apart from a noticeable higher abundance of caves, this new lighting scheme really plays up the atmosphere inside caves and such.
It’s hard to say for certain but the terrain generated in the prerelease of Minecraft version 1.8 really feels different. You can spot some new kinds of trees- obviously they signify a kind of pine-tree for this biome. I’ve heard some people make the remark that some of the new trees look like toilet brushes… […]
This is my little house in the pre-release of Minecraft 1.8. It’s recommended to start a new world because terrain generation is done with new algorithms. You can’t really tell from this image, but lighting has also gone a complete overhaul- it looks very good now. You can also see vine type things hanging from […]
