Lava pillar light beacon

This light beacon is very easy and economical to make. Lava is a good light source and can be seen from quite far away. To start you need make sure the bottom has a little pool so that the lava won’t overflow over the rest of your structure. Then build a one block pillar up in the center while standing on a second temporary pillar made of dirt or sand (take a shovel down for quick digging). Once you’ve reached the upper limit of the world, take one block off the top and drop a lava source on it. Quickly dig your temporary tower out from under you. Lava is not very fast so this is very doable. That’s it!
