Large Falling Mob Trap

What you see up there is basically just a dark room for mobs to spawn. There is a hole in the center of the floor with water flows that push the bad guys towards it. Then they fall out the bottom onto the solid ground below- the impact killing them.

The wooden stairs were used to get up to that level. The four pillars are created afterward to remove some of the awkwardness of a big floating thing.
